Guide to Use Spire.PDFViewer for ASP.NET

Spire.PDFViewer for ASP.NET package includes several sample projects of C# and Visual Basic, which are based on Visual Studio 2005, 2008 and 2010 for users to choose appropriate solution and DLLs for .NET 2.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.0 ClientProfile.

Download and Install

You can get a .zip package after downloading Spire.PDFViewer v2.7 Extract this package to get the .msi file. Double click this file to install.

During installation, if your Visual Studio is running right now, you need to shut down it to contiue to installing when the checkbox about if you would like to add Spire.PDFViewer controls in VS ToolBox is checked. If you don't want to shut down your Visual Studio, you can uncheck the checkbox and then double click ControlsInstaller.exe to add the controls after completing installation.

The installed Spire.PDFViewer includes four folders (Bin, Demos, Help and Icons), one application ControlsInstaller.exe and XML Configuration File of this application and the license document.

Use DLLs

You must add dlls in your project as reference when you would like to program to realize Spire.PDFViewer for ASP.NET functions.

Right click your project name → Add Reference → Browse → Spire.PDFViewer folder → Bin → ASP.NET 2.0/3.5/4.0 → Spire.PdfViewer.Asp.dll.

Run Demos

You can run demos to get effect what the sample projects can do. There are two methods to run demos.
1. Open Spire.PDFViewer folder → AspDemos → CS/VB → CSDemos/VBDemos-VS2005/VS2008/VS2010.sln → right click specified project→ Debug
2. Open Spire.PDFViewer folder → AspDemos → CS/VB → Asp → PdfDocumentViewer/PdfViewer → specified folder→ Export-VS2005/2008/2010.csproj/vbproj → F5.
